If Joe Biden was at his best on Thursday evening, after a week of rest and prep, what is he like normally? Or at his worst?
On Wednesday last week and for the preceding decade, Biden was sharp as a tack. He could do sudoku puzzles while jogging and reviewing his presidential daily brief. He could get Wordle in two guesses while watching the news and negotiating with foreign leaders. Morning Joe recently said, “This is the best version of Biden”
By Friday, in less than two days, he had to go. The NY Times wrote, “President Biden should leave the race.”
Biden didn’t change in two days. The narrative did. Why?
If Democrats chose Biden as their 2024 nominee, why should he now be replaced? He’s the same Scranton Joe he was four years ago. How is that fair to voters who chose him?
Why should he be replaced by someone unvetted and unelected?
If Biden struggles to function after 4 PM, who takes the 3 AM phone call? Dr Jill? Hunter? Remember Hillary’s commercial?
I say let him stay in. As Dr Jill said, he answered all the questions. This is what a teacher might say to a 2nd grader.
Nancy Reagan knew when it was time to gracefully shield her husband from the world stage; then again she loved her husband. What about Dr Jill?
