All very true. Too many forces arrayed against Trump even if he survives law fare and gets reelected. He will be fighting not only the Dems, but much of the GOP as well. He can tap the brakes on the decline but I doubt even he can stop it.

Thanks for carrying the opinion torch for us Brian. I assume Johnson must be compromised which, in DC, can and probably does include threats against the family. Veiled threats. Skeletons being released from closet threats. Skeletons being planted in closet threats. There is evil at work here. After reversing his pledge to secure the border, he sold Americans out of on the warrantless surveillance act. Johnson had stated that he went to a briefing in a SCIF and learned some things that changed his mind. Rep. Massie was in the same briefing and said it was the usual surveillance state dog-and-pony show. Nothing special. I’ve been a conservative and Republican all my life but Repubs have pretty much fallen out of favor with me as they are drinking from the same trough of largesse as the Dems, and if deep-state DC doesn’t have something to keep them in line, the greed will sure do the job. Why rock the boat? Why row upstream? Get along to go along, live a comfortable life on the backs of the taxpayers.

Of course taking up MTG’s “vacate” cause would be sheer folly.

Is there a way out of a system that is systemically rigged? I do not know.

Johnson's absolutely terrible. He celebrated Democrats seizing the House by unprecedentedly relying on the opposition party to force President Joe Biden’s priority of Ukraine border defense funds toward a full House vote on Saturday. His betrayal was complete with the $61 billion gift on Saturday afternoon, reversing his months-long pledge to never advance foreign aid without first securing America’s border. First off, I agree with you that losing the House and Trump and any hope of rescuing America from rapid decline. Overall, Republicans are really a mess. They are not united, while the Democrats are. All the left needs to do is sit there and let Republicans tear themselves apart, and they are tearing themselves apart because Speaker Mike Johnson's not doing what he promised to do. As you know and most of us patriots know, we are dictated to by unelected commissars in the bureaucracy. They aren't affected by elections. The only way to rid ourselves of Johnson and the putrid mass of governmental bonus babies is to completely defund them. Shutting the government is a highly desirable outcome. 95% of our government performs no useful function and simply furthers tyranny. Get rid of them. Vivek Ramaswamy's suggestion was best, which was to get rid of all government agencies incrementally. Glad Trump called him personally to consider a Cabinet position to head the Department of Homeland Security, thus replacing Mayorkas.
